Join us for a day of trail riding where you can test your limits and that of your Jeep. For those of you who are NEW to off-roading and want to learn how it’s done, this is the event you should sign up for. This event is intended as an entry level introduction to the sport. Our experienced trail guides will teach you everything from where you are allowed to legally off road and how to do it safely. The only requirement is that you have a trail rated jeep and are NEW to off-roading. Non-Rookies will find this event to be too easy and not challenging enough.
This Event is a Jeep ONLY event, and is open to COORJC members and non-members. While you do not have to be a member to participate in your first Rookie Run, we do encourage you to join both COORJC and OF4WD. Joining COORJC allows you to register for a second Rookie Run, and membership in OF4WD adds to your liability insurance for when you are off-roading.

Our Rookie runs are 100% free thanks to our dedicated volunteers, so there is no need to pay for any of our Rookie Runs.
If you have something other than a Jeep that you would like to learn how to off road please check out OF4WD.com.
Rookies will be taken on an entry level trail (stock friendly) with a rating no higher than 3+. You do not need a modified Jeep to participate. The only requirement is that your Jeep is "Trail Rated".
The trails we run are located around Buckhorn in the 5-points system.
While this event is open to Non-Members, we encourage you to become an official COORJC Member. If you become a member you will be privy to all of our members only runs/events and best of all you will be part of the COORJC family. COORJC is one of the most active Jeep clubs in Ontario and you will be hard pressed not to find someone to go wheeling with. To join click HERE.
We recommend booking accommodations well in advance. Minden Offroad Park is a popular location for wheelers to gather over a bbq and campfire following your run. Additional benefit for COORJC Members is the availability of exclusive camping through Camp COORJC.
