Central Ontario Off-Road Jeep Club
2020 Year End Report
We kicked of the year with a first ever annual general members meeting and lots of plans! Little did we we know a week later we would be on lock down. While some of our favourite events had to be scaled back or cancelled, we took pride in continued efforts to provide trail runs adhering to government restrictions and of course principles of Tread Lightly.
We invite you to review our Annual Report and read about your club accomplishments in spite of 2020!

Organized/Guided Trail Runs As members of the club you have access to the club events calendar. Something for everyone with options most weekends thanks to an amazing group of trail guides! Events filled fast, but it was wonderful to see members just getting out there. We hope you were able to get on a ride this year. Unfortunately Trail Guide Training was a cancelled, but it will be back and with more guides here's hoping we can do even more next year! |
Trail Clean-up and Maintenance
2018 the club adopted the Gooderham Trail through the OF4WD Adopt-A-Trail Program and continued with the program for 2020, hosting a spring clean up. How do you organize a trail clean up with 35 volunteers when only 5 people are allowed to gather? Yep - it is that simple do the math... 7 groups, 7 meet up spots, 7 trail runs
Exploration
In collaboration with OF4WD the club took on a new mission of clearing and tracking "new to us trails" with the goal of putting more trails on the trail index. 2019 focused on Eastern Ontario where we were rewarded with a number of spectacular lookouts. 2020 saw a new arm of COORJC formed with the COORJC Trail Development Team.

Rookie Runs
Since the beginning the club has been running rookie runs and was disappointing that we had to scale back the number of runs for new wheelers. But we did manage to get 3 events in for the year and saw a lot of new jeep smiles.
COORJC supporting Off Road and Charity Events.
Thunder in the Hills
When a favourite Pass The Flag - country wide food drive was cancelled members still stepped up to help the Kawartha Food Bank!

Message From the Founder
The types of people we have attracted to both our Facebook group and our Club is nothing short of amazing. The Jeeping community is unlike anything I have ever been a part of. My hat’s off to Jeepers everywhere but especially to the members of the COORJC. Without you none of this would have been possible.
To our Board, those members who have volunteered their time and efforts, I can’t possibly thank you enough.
I am very proud of the club efforts to give our members some of the finest wheeling experiences possible and dedication to trail up keep and community social involvement.
Looking forward to the 2021 Season !
Thank you all.
